ADVANCE LEARNING PACKAGES
The APM is now committed towards chartered status, and the development of a professional standard for project managers. If you are serious about your personal development and project management career then now is the time to start planning to achieve the qualifications that demonstrate your own level of committment to becoming a certificated project professional.
advance learning packages allow you to undertake the most cost effective route, saving up to 50% of the fees if the individual courses were purchased seperately. There are five learning packages;
Introductory
Introductory Certificate plus APMP (PRINCE 2® can also be included)
Starts with the Introductory Certificate course and exam followed within 6 months by the APMP. During the 6 months there will be regular contact with an assigned tutor in order to prepare candidates for the APMP course and exam.
Intermediate
Introductory Certificate, APMP and APMPQ (PRINCE 2® can also be included)
Starts with the Introductory Certificate course and exam followed within 6 months by the APMP. During the 6 months there will be regular contact with an assigned tutor in order to prepare candidates for the APMP course and exam. Within 9 months of completing the APMP candidates then progress for assessment for the Practitioner Qualification. This learning package includes the tutor contact as in the Intermediate package and also includes preparation to undertake the PQ assessment centre.
Focused
APMP plus PRINCE2®
Starts with the PRINCE2. Within 6 months of completing PRINCE2® candidates can then progress to the reduced APMP which takes account of PRINCE2® prior learning. During the 6 months there will be regular contact with an assigned tutor.
Advanced
APMP plus APMPQ
Starts with the APMP. Within 9 months of completing the APMP candidates can then progress to assessment for the Practitioner Qualification. During the 9 months there will be regular contact with an assigned tutor in order to prepare to undertake the PQ assessment centre.
Complete
All APM qualifications through to RPP (PRINCE 2® can also be included)
Candidates will progress initially through to Practitioner Qualification. Thereafter progression towards RPP will be very much dependent on experience. An assigned tutor will be available to provide guidance and assess readiness for professional status. A mentoring programme exists for suitable candidates. It is estimated that the period from completing the APMPQ to being eligble for RPP application could be between 3-5 years and is very much dependent on complexity of projects that have been managed.

The learning methodologies used by
Edison's Fusion approach readies
all learners to embrace change and
increase flexibility. Two critical
factors heighten the success of the
Fusion approach, firstly; the method
of delivery which uses the most
experienced presenters who fully
understand the psychology of
learning. Edison ensure that all
trainers spend at least 50% of their
time working in the field, actually
using the tools and techniques,
being presented, to maximum effect.
Secondly; the advanced presentation
materials ensure the maximum
level of interaction, all materials
have been developed to maximise
the impact of the learning. Our standards of learning are high,
we practice what we preach, our learning has been tested by some
of the worlds top organisations. You
can therefore be sure of a consistent
high standard and best practice
processes.
Our approach to learning considers
the step-by-step procedures that
make up a process, procedural
learning with process learning
fosters a greater understanding of
where and how the details fit into
the overall big picture. This consolidated
approach has been shown to
lead to a higher degree of exam
success, compared to more traditional
learning methodology.
